Merry Christmas ya filthy animals.

Christmas is a tough time for people who are alone. It’s even worse for those of us with mental health disorders. I’m not going to do a full cliche post on how it affects people because we all know it does. All I’m going to say is that if you are struggling, know that you’re not alone and that Christmas is just a single day, in the grand scheme of things it doesn’t matter and isn’t any different from any other day of the year. Just do what you can to get through it, read, play, watch, sing, dance, whatever gets you through.

In previous years I’ve struggled. I’ve been surrounded by people and felt alone, just wanting to get away from it all and hide until the day is done and everything gets back to the way it has been the rest of the year. So believe me when I say that I know how it feels.

Despite everything this year has thrown at you, take solace in the fact that you’re still here and still fighting. If you need to talk to someone, there are many outlets that you can use.

Stick with it; you’ve got this.
